Check and download
After you upload files, the results can be checked and downloaded here.
How to use
- In step 1, choose the output format and settings.
- In step 2, upload the files. Several can be chosen at once, and processing starts after upload.
- When all files are done, download them one by one or together.
Notes
- Each GIF frame can hold at most 256 colours, and a GIF has no sound. Many platforms accept only video files for animations.
- MP4 does not support transparency, so transparent areas become white. An MP4 plays once and does not loop by itself as a GIF does.
- MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio opens on almost every system and website. If you are unsure, please choose this option.
- “Original codec” does not re-encode, so it is the fastest and the quality is unchanged. However, HEVC (H.265) videos do not open on some computers and websites.
- When an HDR video is re-encoded, it is saved in standard dynamic range and its colours may look paler.
- Processing time depends on your device and the length of the file, and progress is shown on the page. Processing takes longer on a phone, so please keep this page in the foreground and do not lock the screen.
Questions and answers
- How long is the converted video?
- It is the same as one full play of the GIF, that is, the total display time of all its frames.
- Is quality lost in conversion?
- Not when a video is only repackaged. When re-encoding is needed, a high quality setting is used, and the file size may differ from the original.
- Is the audio kept?
- Yes. The audio is converted as well: to AAC for MP4 and to Opus for WebM.
