Passport photo maker

An HKSAR passport photograph for an online application must be at least 1200 × 1600 pixels, with a plain white background, as a JPEG file of 5 MB or below. Select your application in Step 1 and the tool sets the pixel size, background and file size, then exports a JPG. The table below lists each official requirement and its source.

Compress images to the file size limit of an online application, or resize them to exact pixels. Online applications to the Immigration Department accept files of 5 MB or below; supporting documents for an HKSAR passport must be 2 MB or below. Up to 50 images can be processed at once.
