Disclaimer and privacy notice

Who we are

• This notice applies to Suried Tools (tools.suried.com), Suried Media (media.suried.com) and Suried Quiz (quiz.suried.com). We decide why and how personal data is collected, used and disclosed on these websites, which makes us the organisation responsible for it under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012.
• This notice explains what personal data we may collect, the purposes for which it is used and how you can access and correct it or withdraw your consent.

Files processed on our server

• Some features need to process the file you submit on our server, for example to detect the person in a photograph.
• Such a file is used only to complete that request. It is not used for any other purpose and is not shared with any third party.
• The file is kept on the server only while it is being processed and is deleted as soon as processing is complete.
• All files are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

Files processed in your browser

• Except for the features described above, the tools open and process your images and files within your browser. Your files are not uploaded to our server.
• For some file formats, such as HEIC, a decoding program is downloaded from this website the first time it is needed. Only the program is downloaded. Your files are not sent.
• The results stay in your browser and are cleared when you close or reload the page. Files that you download are saved on your own device.
• Your answers to questionnaires and quizzes, including the names you enter in the love calculator, are scored in your browser and saved in your browser's local storage on your device, so they remain when you reload or reopen the page. They are not uploaded to our server. To delete them, select “Reset” on the questionnaire page or clear this website's data in your browser settings.

Website statistics and cookies

• To understand how this website is used and to improve it, we may use cookies, browser storage and similar technologies, our own statistics system and third-party analytics services such as Umami, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.
• These may record the pages you visit and their order, the time spent on each page, the buttons you click and the options you select, the website you came from, the time of your visit and whether you visit again. They may also record your IP address, the approximate location and internet service provider found from it, and your device, operating system, browser, screen size and language.
• We may use the approximate location found from your IP address to decide which regional version of this website to show when you open the home page, and to inform you on a page if another regional version is available for your location.
• One cookie remembers the regional version you choose. Another cookie recognises the same browser when you visit again. Each cookie is kept for up to about 13 months.
• tools.suried.com, media.suried.com and quiz.suried.com share these cookies and the sign-in cookie. A choice you make or a sign-in on one of these websites also applies on the others.
• The statistics do not record the text you type into any field, and do not receive the contents of the files you upload.
• For questionnaires and quizzes, the statistics record only that you started or completed them. They do not record your answers or results.
• You can delete or block cookies and browser storage in your browser settings. The tools will continue to work.

Signing in

• You do not need to sign in to use the tools. You may choose to sign in with a Huawei account or a Google account. This website does not use passwords.
• When you sign in, we receive from Huawei or Google and store the account number they assign to this website, your display name and the e-mail address they provide. We do not store your profile photo or the access tokens they issue.
• After you sign in, a cookie keeps you signed in for 30 days. We record when you signed in, when the sign-in expires and your browser type. We do not record your IP address for this purpose.
• After you sign in, we may link the website statistics described above to your account, to understand how signed-in users use this website.
• Signing in is meant for persons aged 18 years or above. If you are below 18 years of age, please use the tools without signing in.
• Huawei and Google handle your information under their own privacy policies.

Storage and transfer of data

• Your account details are kept on our server until you delete your account. Website statistics are used to understand how this website is used over time and are not kept longer than necessary for that purpose.
• Our servers may be located outside Singapore, so your personal data may be stored and processed outside Singapore. We protect it to a standard comparable to that required by the Personal Data Protection Act 2012.
• We do not sell personal data and do not use it for marketing. We share it only with the analytics services and sign-in providers named in this notice.
• Apart from the account details described above, we do not collect your name, NRIC or FIN number, telephone number, address or any other personal data.

Your rights

• Under sections 21 and 22 of the Personal Data Protection Act 2012, you may ask for access to the personal data we hold about you, and how it has been used or disclosed in the past year, and ask us to correct any error or omission. We will respond as soon as reasonably possible, free of charge.
• Under section 16, you may withdraw your consent at any time by giving us reasonable notice. We will inform you of the likely consequences and stop collecting, using or disclosing the personal data concerned. You can also block cookies in your browser settings or delete your account.
• You may delete your account at any time from My account. When you do so, your display name, e-mail address and all sign-in methods are erased, and the website statistics are no longer linked to you.
• To access, correct or delete your personal data, to withdraw your consent, or for any question about this notice, please write to privacy@suried.com.
• If you are not satisfied with how we handle your personal data, you may lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commission.
