How to use

  1. Please upload an image with a QR code. Select “Choose image”, drag the image into the box, or take a screenshot and press Ctrl+V (Command+V on a Mac) on this page. JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP and HEIC images are supported.
  2. A code that is very small or blurred may not be read. Please crop the image to the code, or use a clearer image.
  3. Links are not opened automatically. Please check that the domain belongs to the website you intend to visit. Do not enter account details, passwords, one-time codes or payment details on an unknown website.

Codes are read with zxing-wasm (MIT licence, based on ZXing-C++, Apache-2.0 licence). The reader, about 1 MB, is downloaded from this website to your browser the first time you scan. Your image is not uploaded. QR Code is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use it on a mobile phone?
Yes. Please choose an image from your photo gallery. To scan a printed code, it is quicker to use the phone camera.
Is my image saved?
No. The image is read in your browser and is not uploaded. It is cleared when you close or reload the page.
