Total hours

Please enter the start and end times for at least one day. The total will appear here.

How it is calculated

  1. Hours for a day = end time − start time − break. If the end time is earlier than the start time, it is taken as the next day (night shift).
  2. The total is the sum of the hours for each day, shown in hours and minutes and in decimal hours rounded to two decimal places.
  3. Only hours are calculated, not overtime pay. Overtime rules and pay rates depend on local law and your employment contract.
  4. The times you enter are stored in this browser, so they remain after you reload or close the page. Press Clear all to delete them.
  5. This tool runs in your browser. What you enter and your timing records are stored only in this browser and are not uploaded.
