File size and clarity

  • A JPG that does not need compression is placed in the PDF as it is, with no loss of quality. PNG, HEIC, WebP and other formats are converted to JPG at 300 pixels per inch on the page.
  • When you enter a file size limit, the size is shared among the images by their area on the page. Each image is compressed so that the PDF stays within the limit.
  • When compressing, each image keeps at least 100 pixels per inch, or more if the purpose requires it. Below that, the text on the page could not be read, and the checklist marks the size as “Invalid” with the reason.
  • The limit is applied strictly, taking 1 MB as 1000 KB. Upload systems that count 1 MB as 1000 KB or as 1024 KB both accept the file.
  • The PDF has no watermark and no password.
