Converted time
--:--:--
How to use
- Choose the city to convert from (your own time zone by default) and enter a date and time. If you do not change them, the current date and time in that city are used.
- The time in each city is calculated by the time zone database built into your browser (the IANA Time Zone Database), including daylight saving time. The same moment can fall on different dates in different cities, and the result is marked next day or previous day.
- The 24-hour chart shows each hour of the chosen date in every city. Local times from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM are in bold to help you plan meetings across time zones.
- When daylight saving time starts, local clocks skip 1 hour, and a skipped time is converted as the time after the change. When daylight saving time ends, 1 hour occurs twice, and the first occurrence is used.
- This tool runs in your browser. What you enter is not uploaded.

Daylight saving time
New York uses EST (UTC−5) in winter and EDT (UTC−4) during daylight saving time: in 2026, from 8 March 2026 to 1 November 2026; in 2027, from 14 March 2027 to 7 November 2027. IST is UTC+5:30 all year, so the difference is 10 hours 30 minutes in winter and 9 hours 30 minutes in summer.
Notes
- IST here means India Standard Time (UTC+5:30). The same letters are also used for Irish Standard Time and Israel Standard Time, which are different time zones.
- Eastern Time is used in New York, Washington, Boston, Atlanta, Miami and Toronto. All of India uses IST.
Common questions
- Why does the time difference between two cities change during the year?
- Places with daylight saving time change their clocks twice a year, so the difference from places without it changes by 1 hour. If both places use it but change on different dates, the difference also changes between those dates.
- My city is not in the list. What should I do?
- Please choose another city in the same time zone. Both show the same time. The list includes city names only.
