  • A warning when the peak reaches 0 dB (clipping).

After you allow the browser to use the camera, a live picture in step 2 means the camera is working. The page also shows the actual resolution (for example 1280 × 720), the frames per second and the brightness of the picture.

  • Request the highest resolution, 1080p, 720p or 480p.

Speaker test

If “Left” plays only on the left and “Right” plays only on the right, your left and right channels are correct. The page also plays a 20 Hz to 20 kHz sweep and, when the system output is 5.1, tests each of the 6 channels.

  • Play sound on the left channel, the right channel or both.
  • A 20 Hz to 20 kHz sweep to check bass and treble.

Refresh rate test

The refresh rate appears about 2 seconds after the page opens. It is measured from the frames the browser actually draws each second: about 60 on a 60 Hz screen and about 144 on a 144 Hz screen.

  • Measures the actual refresh rate in about 2 seconds.
  • Compares it with your display setting; a difference within 3% is a match.
  • A frame time chart and a motion comparison at 60 and 30 fps.
