Questions
- When do I need to submit a new IC photo?
- Singapore citizens and permanent residents register for an identity card at 15 years of age, and re-register at 30 and 55 years of age. Each time, a recent digital colour photograph, taken within the last 3 months, is submitted.
- Can I wear spectacles in my IC photo?
- Yes, if the lenses are clear and your eyes are fully visible. Coloured contact lenses are not allowed.
- Can I change the background of my photograph?
- ICA states that the photograph must not be altered or enhanced in any way, and that the background must be white. If you can, take the photograph against a plain white wall and select Original in Step 3, so that the tool only crops and resizes it. ICA checks every photograph after it is uploaded.
